I think points should be pre-assigned to each difference in order of difficultness, and perhaps no more than 3 points for most difficult difference and 1 for easy ones. So you have a few 3-pointers, some 2 pointers and 1-pointers. I loved playing this though, i think sparky and s55 will agree! laugh#

Glad you like it. My initial idea was that a contestant could either get his/her answer up there, or wait to get more points for it (perhaps risking losing it to someone else). A bit more competetive. I will work one out for next year on your basis as well, sounds very workable. I have some develish ones up my sleeve, also for next year, as I use my acquired points - in parallel with the main contest, so points (as now) will add to the movement through the Leaderboard ... by the way, have you checked at the dramatic change of late??? ::15: ::1:

Yes defiantly enjoyed this one....although the point scheme/leader board in it self was not an easy thing to do....we had to get someone in to do this and make it work which cost money, and although the leaderboard has brought this section to life!! it is still a fun game to play....and I for one will still enjoy going out and looking for these mystery pics.....I see that rrrichie has just uploaded another beauty! ::15: ::15:

The points system was developed with a static set of points in mind. These can be clanged by administrator but I decided early on that if users were able to choose how many points were awarded then the game would soon become spoiled. The problem would be that standardised points would be lost and arguments would break out over how many points a picture was worth or how many were really awarded. In this instance I would recommend that Treeve award extra points depending on how hard he thinks finding the difference you spotted really was.Obviously Treeve would need to award those points as and when they are correctly guessed and announce how many points were awarded to whom. Treeve you will not be able to deduct points from your score as it will leave pictures un guessed. Instead tot up the points you intend to give away. wink# ::6:
